As we reach the midpoint of 2025, various artists come to mind when considering the top rap albums. This reflects the remarkable number of outstanding projects released this year. Since January, HotNewHipHop has been tracking the most significant releases from both established and emerging hip-hop artists. After a fast-paced six months, we are excited to share our list of the Top 25 Best Rap Albums of 2025 so far. Curating this list was challenging, but we stand by each album included. While we recognize that these rankings may spark disagreement, we appreciate your support for our annual compilations.
**Honorable Mention:** Wiz Khalifa – *Kush + Orange Juice 2*
Wiz Khalifa mesmerized the internet with his original *Kush & Orange Juice* at the beginning of the last decade. Although the sequel doesn’t quite match the original’s impact, it retains the familiar vibes 15 years later. This updated version features cleaner production and showcases Wiz’s journey alongside a fresh mix of old-school and new talents, symbolizing a milestone for the Pittsburgh artist.
