Kanye West Releases Three Tracks From ‘Bully’

Kanye West has made available three tracks from his new album Bully, which can currently only be streamed on Tidal. The released songs are ‘Preacher Man’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, and ‘Damn’, all of which were previously part of the visual album of the same title. West initially announced a plan to drop 10 songs this week as part of an innovative promotional strategy that incorporates A.I. vocals. In a message to the fan account YeFanatics, he stated: “Releasing 5 of the songs 2nt. Will release another 5 2mrw. And then more the next day. Still working on the album. Share this message.” Although Bully was earlier introduced as a visual album this year, West has returned to refine it over recent weeks. He had promised the complete album would be released on June 15, but that deadline has since passed without release. Following Bully, West’s upcoming project, Cuck, was leaked in its entirety last month but has not yet been officially launched. The album was initially shared on Discord by hackers before spreading across YouTube and other sites, ultimately being removed, potentially due to copyright violations. The leakers claimed their action was a form of protest against West’s alleged antisemitism. They stated online: “Fuck Nazis. 50-year-old loser promoting fascism and hate speech. All proceeds from this groupbuy were donated to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum.” In response, West commented on social media: “Somebody got a drive and threw it on YouTube and said this is CUCK. What I love about getting blocked on DSPs and having songs leaked and shows cancelled is… It proves everything I’m saying and why I’m saying.” This contentious work, which controversially includes Ku Klux Klan members as its cover imagery, continues to face challenges in finding a proper distributor. Additionally, West released the single “Heil Hitler,” but it was taken down less than a day after its debut due to its offensive content.
