Raekwon, known for one of the most impressive solo catalogs from Wu-Tang Clan, is set to release a new album titled “The Emperor’s New Clothes” on July 18 under Mass Appeal. The complete tracklist has been revealed, showcasing collaborations with prominent artists including Nas, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, and Method Man. The album will also feature a Griselda collaboration with Conway The Machine, Westside Gunn, and Benny The Butcher, alongside contributions from Marsha Ambrosius, Tommy Nova, and Carlton Fisk. This marks the first album from Raekwon since 2017’s “The Wild” and promises production by a range of notable producers like Swizz Beatz, Nottz, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Frank G, and Roadstart. It’s part of Mass Appeal’s “Legend Has It” series, which includes new works from artists like Nas and De La Soul. Raekwon expressed his pride for the project on Instagram, describing it as his most refined work yet, wrapped in rich velour with platinum-threaded precision. He emphasizes the importance of body of work in celebrating his art. The tracklist includes an Intro, features and skits, culminating in notable collaborations.
