In 2000, the Wu-Tang Clan was experiencing challenging times both creatively and in terms of relationships among its members. Solo projects by the members didn’t generate the same interest as before, but one member managed to stand out.

In February 2000, Ghostface Killah released his second solo album, “Supreme Clientele,” which received even more acclaim than his already successful debut “Ironman.” This gave Ghostface a new career boost and made him more independent of the group’s success.

Fans had long been asking for a sequel, and Ghostface decided to work on it, announcing in 2010—ten years after the first part’s release. Since then, the album had been repeatedly postponed, and the rapper released many albums, but none were what the fans were waiting for.

This year, the label Mass Appeal announced the release of albums from seven genre legends. Among them was the long-awaited “Supreme Clientele 2,” timed to the 25th anniversary of the first part.

Ghostface Killah didn’t hold back (after all, the release had been long in the making) and included 22 tracks in the project. The guest lineup didn’t disappoint either: Nas, Styles P, Dave Chappelle, Conway The Machine, M.O.P., Raekwon, GZA, Method Man, and many others. Production was handled by Scram Jones, Metaphysics, Ray Ray Scavo III, and Ghostface himself.
