Five years ago, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist delighted the public with the unexpected album “Alfredo,” which brought the authors not just a lot of praise but also a Grammy nomination. Both musicians subsequently went their separate ways focusing on their individual projects, and the joint album seemed like a one-time thing.
To commemorate the anniversary of “Alfredo,” the duo decided to thrill their audience once more. First, the duo released a mini-film, along with announcing a sequel to their collaboration, which did not keep fans waiting long.
The second part of “Alfredo” includes 14 tracks, featuring Anderson .Paak, Larry June, and JID as guests. Following the pattern of the first LP, Freddie and Alc kept features to a minimum.
